Sunshine in a Bowl

Now that the weather is changing and the sun is smiling down upon us all I can think of are the days I spent at the beach on the west coast. Nothing can beat the feeling of my toes in the sand, watching the beautiful blue waves crashing down, and getting excited knowing where our first stop will be after we jump on our boards and head to the car.
BANZAI BOWLS!
If anyone knows me they know I am completely and utterly obsessed with açaí bowls. Like if I was granted one wish I would 100% wish for a lifetime supply of açaí bowls. I have eaten a great amount of açaí bowls in my life, but none can compare to a Banzai Bowl.
When I moved to Los Angeles in January of 2018 my first stop off the plane when I landed in California was Banzai Bowls. My college roommate and I grabbed one to go and we were off roadtripping our way down to Tijuana, Mexico. Not only were my eyes opened to the beauty of the Gold Coast, but also to the golden taste of Banzai Bowls. They have a special place near and dear to my heart!
Originated in Costa Mesa, California, Banzai Bowls are the perfect snack before or after a beach day. Created in 2008, they devote time, energy, and soul into every bowl. Their bowls are not mass produced and they only use the best ingredients in town. Their açaí is pure and their fruit is beyond fresh.
The story of how they came to be is inspiring to me and makes me want to continue to support their journey. When the owner and his wife had the idea to create this açaí bowl snack bar they just felt right about it. "But ultimately we knew if it was meant to be, the Lord would make it happen." And He did, just two days later they saw a store front for rent and it came with all the tools they needed to start their journey. Fast forward a few years and Banzai Bowls now have six locations, five of them along the coast of California and one in Hawaii.
Their logo is "Live life in the bowl" since they are perfect to eat before you surf or skate. So get out there, live life, grab a bowl and enjoy the most delicious snack on a sunny day!
